Space to become more fully yourself.
Hi, I’m Dante Wadley, a Madrid-based Gestalt therapist working in English and Spanish, in person and online. I work with people in the middle of something — a loss, an ending, a stretch where the life you built stopped fitting — and I specialize in gay and queer men’s issues.
If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably looking to understand yourself more deeply and show up more fully in your life and relationships.
What brings you here
Something just broke. A job ended, a relationship ended, someone died. You’re handling the logistics competently and you have no idea how you feel about any of it.
This again. You thought you’d put it behind you. Then something seemingly insignificant opens the floodgates, and you’re right back where you thought you’d never be again.
You’re running on autopilot. Everything that needs to get done gets done. It’s just that somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like you were really living your own life.
If you’re a queer man
You left so you could live. The town, the family, the country — you did what was necessary to survive, and it worked. You didn’t expect to spend this long searching for a sense of belonging — or feeling homesick for a place that denied you that belonging in the first place.
Coming out was supposed to be the hard part. Nobody mentioned that you’d still be scanning the room years later, still editing yourself for others’ comfort — even when surrounded by other men like you.
You’re your own harshest critic. Every conversation gets replayed. Every flaw gets dissected. Somewhere along the way, you learned that surviving the bullies meant beating them to the punchline.
You find yourself having the same relationship with different people. The names change. The arguments don’t.
You've done therapy before.
You have the language for what’s wrong and the tools to manage it. What you don’t have is the sense that anything has really changed.
